"When I shop, the world gets better, and the world is better, but then it's not, and I need to do it again".

The Plan

THE REASON

So why on earth did we start this challenge?  Well, it all started when A was on her way to Bermuda to visit her little cousins.  She came across an interesting article in the Toronto Star about two women who blogged about their decision to not shop for a whole year.  You can read the article here or go to their blog.  After showing the blog to T, she thought it was a great idea! It is a good challenge for the both of them and something they could do together.  You see, shopping has become an expensive pastime for the two of us.  Whenever we're bored, we shop.  What do we talk about? Shopping.  And, although we both consider ourselves thrifty shoppers, it does add up! Both of us have more than enough clothes, shoes and accessories to last us for a couple of years...honestly who needs 30 pairs of shoes!  And as a result, we have piles of forgotten and unworn clothing sitting in our closets.  So instead of adding to our bursting closets, this year will be spent editing, re-inventing and learning to love our own wardrobes again.  Are you up for the challenge???  Think you can do it?  We will have the Join Us page up and running soon, where you can make your commitment to follow our Rules in writing (NO turning back!).
