Rain Rain Go Away...

I really regret not buying rain boots before we started this no shopping thing.  I use to think that rain boots were ugly and looked too childish.  But I have come to realize the practicality of rain boots.  As a university student who walks pretty much everywhere they are essential.  Yet  somehow after 4 years here I managed to not own a single pair.  Perhaps it's because I think most rain boots are ridiculously overpriced, look too childish on me and the fact that I will only be on campus for one more year.  I did look at some but my favorite (shown below) was sold out by the time I found it! Sooo sad =(

Burberry rain boots from theOutnet.com, they were only $30 btw!

At this point I'm wondering if I should break the rules and just go get a pair?  They are a necessity, my cold wet feet are suffering...at least I bought my raincoat before September!   What do you guys think????

Love,
A

  1. in Kingston with no rainboots!?!?! A, i would say you HAVE to get a pair...rainboots are certainly often overpriced, but think about how you can wear them every spring and every fall and even when winter becomes slushy and how technically, they can never wear out! The ones you posted are beautiful... especially the price!! I got these over the summer for my birthday but forgot them at home and I miss them every time it rains.. http://www.rainbootsrubberboots.com/index.php?main_page=popup_image&pID=1160
and personally, deliberately stepping into puddles without any worry is SO freeing. hahah =) but as a faithful supporter of you and T...don't break the rules!!!! you can do this!!!

  2. housie!!

i hope you and phebes are staying strong through this hectic midterm/assignments time :D miss you guys a lot.

on to the more related topic...you should get rain boots just because you are in KINGSTON. i think it's a worthy investment if you have to endure 5-6 wet months. besides, cold feet might lead to illness! a pair of waterproof winter boots is most likely more expensive than rain boots and for warmth, you can just layer them socks on.

if i can recall correctly, clem bought her plain black wellies from walmart for either 5$ or 10$. go get a pair!
